I recently purchased a regal boat with an AD31B. On a recent trip, the engine overheated from an impellar problem. Moter was shut down immediately once heat light came on. Impellar was replaced. This is my first boat with a diesel motor. Is it common to see brownish deposits in the water when throttled down hard? There is no sign of deposits when idleing or acheiving throttle speed. It only happens when accelerating hard. Is this common with a diesel engine, or is this a problem resulting from the overheating?
