I have a yacht with a TAMD31M , 3100 hours, installed new in early 2001. Engine oil slowly accumulates in a little hollow pocket which exists on top of the crankcase casting where the left rear engine mount is attached. This is right under the rear of the aftercooler housing and since I can't find any other general oil leaks, I was wondering if this oil could be coming from the turbo bearing lubrication and then leaking out of the aftercooler. Does anyone have any experience of this or any opinion as to what is happening? How to fix it? etc.

There is a hole for condensation drainage in aftercooler housing above the mount. Oil is probably coming from turbo seals or crankcase ventilation system into air filter inlet.

Many thanks, Vic. Could I transfer the crankcase vent to a bottle to separate the two options?
