I have been having trouble matching a prop for a Yamaha 225 ox66 rebuild that I just bought.It's on a 24' Pathfinder. I have tried at least 6 props that didn't match. Today we found one that did a 15x23 We took it out and ran it and it stayed in the correct RPM range topping out at 5500 RPM. We ran around for a little while then the motor started over heating. Could two large of a prop cause the motor to over heat? To me this seems like to much prop for this boat & motor. Any help would be appreciated. |
