At idle and up to 1500 rpm my starboard tach jumps up and down several hundred rpms and continues to do so until I hit crusing revs of 3200. Port tach is fine. Any ideas as to why this is happening? Engines are Marine Power 454 EFI's |

Could be the tach itself or a bad connection. One way is to swap tachs, port<-> starboard. if the Jump Syndrome goes with the tach, replace it. otherwise, start checking/cleaning/reseating connections. |
