I have just taken a GM engine out of a boat that has gone to boat heaven.
I am trying to confirm if it is a GM 305 or 350.(Chevy) (long or short block)and how old it is.
Here are the specifications
Engine casting # 3970010
Head casting # 3006336
OSCO exhaust manifold assembly CV 818-350
BW Velvet Drive model # AS7-71c
Any help will be appreciated

Go on line, find Marine Power's phone number, and call them up. They'll tell you what you have. Nice folks.
