I have a 29' 1993 Luhr's with 350 Marine Power Engines. My engine wouldn't shut off so I pulled the coil wire on the distributer.I replace the wire. The next morning the engine wouldn't start. (At the end of last season I had a knew carberator put on.) I have just replaced the wires, modular, distributer cap and plugs.
There is spark at the coil, spark at the plugs but it wont turn over. Ther is plenty of fuel in the bowl of the carburator, maybe to much. There is fuel coming out with the exhaust. Does this enginr have some kind of sensor for oil pressure or engine temperature that wouldn't allow it to start? would the switch have something to do with this problem even though it is working? I thought it may be fuel so I drained the fuel filter into a clear vessel and the fuel is clear with no water.

I would take a serious look at the ignition switch. |
