Does anyone know the prop nut thread size on the 1 1/4 inch prop shafts that seem to be original on this model. I have 270 hp 350 Crusader engines with Velvet Drives. I've had an errosion problem on one of the props and need to change it but before hauling the boat I would like to get new prop nuts. There is currently two nuts with a single cotter key. Last time I hauled the boat the jam nuts were loose so if anyone has any idea as to what nuts to use or if there is an updated nut with lock ring of some kind I would appreciate some info on this topic. |
