I cleaned gas tanks, rebuilt carbs, new filters & new electric fuelpumps.Engines run good but after running for awhile the engines stop & after sitting they will not start. The pumps lose there prime. If I suck fuel to pumps they start and run for awhile THANKS 1979 35FT catalina

I have played with my fuel system (72 33' coho).
When I had that problem I had a fuel line connector cross threaded, and it was leaking air in to the system. Yes the fuel line was from 72, good enough by really old.
To work around I installed a Goldenrod Water-Block Fuel Filter, to feed some smaller in-line filters.

That seem to do the trick, picked up some trash from the tank and the lines. Everything seems to work fine now.
