I am looking at a late fifties connie that sounds like a good boat. Problem is it has chris-o-matics and the more I read the more concerned I am about their reliability. The owner says they are slow to respond. Not good. Are these transmissions as bad as everybody says? (crash-o-matics!!!) Does anybody have them and they work well? How hard is the conversion to direct drive and how would I find directions and parts to do so? Thanks for any info |
