I'm looking at and early 1950's cruiser that was repowered with a pair of Chevy 409's. How tough is it to get parts for these babies. was this a good marine engine? Thanks |

I have a 409 in my CC Explorer 25.1 it took me over a year to locate exhaust manifolds for it I found some aluminum but I'm on the ocean I finally found some on ebay. I have most of the numbers for the tune up parts my distributor is a mallory with no vacuum advance. These engines are hot rodders dreams so most of the internal are easy to get.
