Does anyone have the specs for drilling the crankshaft to provide lubrication for the manual transmission on the 283 flywheel forward. I have all of the parts except the block, heads and crank. I am going to bolt the parts on to a 305, but I don't know where to drill the crank. Thanks |

Fred: Can't you duplicate the old one? Jeff |

Jeff: I only got the external parts - not the crank. I have the drilled bolt that holds the drive gear, but I need the info on the hole in the crank. Fred |

Did you try the Chris-Craft Roamer web site? They seem to know a lot over there. Jeff |

Buy a long 1/8" drill bit (8-10") Drill horizontally in the snout till you get to the first main journal. Then drill off the oil feed passage on the first main journal till you meet your horizontal passage. The object is to connect the two. Remember you will also need the bolt with a hole in it to attach the snout gear. |
