I have a 1955 Chris Craft with a KBL engine. I know the wedges under the engine mount are for up and down alignment. But is there a way to adjust the side to side alignment? I can not see a way of doing this without remounting the mounts. Seems like if Chris Craft had a convenient way to adjust the up and down alignment that they would of incorporated a convenient method of aligning side to side. |

Usually there's a round, horizontal piece that's clamped in place. It allows the mount to both swing and move sideways.

What mine looks like is a rectangular flange on the engine, with a hard rubber spacer between it and the mount that bolts to the boat supports. There is no free play between the bolt and the mount. So it is locked solid except for the rubber spacers. |

Yikes! Some kind of moron must have designed that thing. Looks like you're gonna have to out-tough him and make it work somehow.
