my exhaust manifolds are currently salt water cooled. i'm likely going to be replacing them with new manifolds and risers. is it possible to put create a completely closed system and fresh water cool the new manifolds? i have the log style manifolds right now? anybody done this? suggestions?

Yes IF your motor is already F W Cooled. You need to block off where the water would go downstream to the elbows/ risers and rearrange a few hoses. And, from what I've seen, your present heat exchanger can carry the load.

Hi Jeff,
yes, my motor is fresh water cooled. but, the exhaust manifolds are raw water (salt water) cooled. I'll try and take some pics of how my system is setup now this weekend.
