Have no idea of the condition of the 318 manifolds on the 22' Aquasport I bought last year so I will be replacing them in a few weeks... more of a preventative maintenance task than anything else. Anything special I should know before proceeding? Torque spec. for bolts? |

thread sealer should be used on the studs that go on the ends of the manifolds because they go into the water jackets. will |

Thanks Will...good idea. Might be that the studs in there now should be replaced. Will know once the manifolds are pulled. |

DON'T leave out those little metal plates that come with the gasket set! If you do, it'll leak exhaust in the center of the manifold and you'll have to do it all over again. Jeff PS: I have a photo of this deal if you need it. |

Make sure you drain the old manifolds first, before you remove them or the water in them will leak into your cylinders. p.s. They are very heavy. |
