Wife and I are planning our first big trip (two weeks) in the new/old boat (1977 31' Silverton w/twin 318s). Trying to cover all my bases on my spare parts list. Spares I currently have are:
Full set of belts
Hose repair kit
Two impellers
Two coils
Distributor cap & rotor
One set of plugs
What else should I add to the list? What do you guys carry? |

Fuel filters, dry gas, gasket sealer, WD-40 & beer. |

Duct tape! Lots of tools, a few long igntion wires, tie wraps, wooden tapered plugs (to plug a sudden hole in the hull--it happens), spare tranny fluid and oil, wiring set up (wire, stripper and crimper plus butt connections in various sizes), infared thermometer, paper charts (in case the electronics goes out), fuses, gas straining filter (they make them to strain water out as well)...

Bring extra $ too. I always keep a few dollars hidden away on the boat just in case. |
