Is it normal here in the NorthEast for one to find some oil in the Bilge after the winter?(Maybe expansion and contraction)If it is the gasket for the oil pan it should tighten back up?
Last year was my 1st season with this boat and I didn't notice any oil leak.I have a '72 Century Arabian with a 440

I have twin chrysler 440's and had the same problem. It was the oil pan gaskets. I was able to wedge myself between the hull and engine to drop the pan, scrap old gasket off, and put new one on. The leak came back and I tightened the bolts again-so far so good. Be carefull not to over tighten them (25 ft. lb. I think). A mirror on a telescoping handle (Sears) will be valuable for inspection.

Good luck

Chrysler spec is 15 lb-ft for pan bolts. After several years, I had bolts backing out from vibration. In my boat, the easiest way to tighten the bolts is to pull the powerpack.
Good luck,
Dave
