i have a rev rot engine(dead)wanted to replace with standard rot.does changing around the pump on the drive only allow input shaft direction change? will the prop(right hand)be turning the wrong way as a result of this tinkering? |

Yes. The rotation of the prop is the same as the engine (unless it's the 1.88/1.0 ratio model which reverses the rotation) B/W also makes a CR2 model that can be ordered reversed so you can use 2 standard rotation engines and have counter-rotating props. |

ok, thanks. mine is a 1:1 drive.i`ve been looking for a reverse rotation engine on e-bay,they seem few and far between |

a reman long block is on my list,however im tempted to do it "on the cheap". like most of my ventures its going to probably end up costing me more in the long run |

More than likely. I've rebuilt dozens of engines in my 50 year career, yet I still went for the long block; and I'm glad I did. Jeff |
