230 hrs.motors look mint and well maintained.fuel injected, in a 1988 40'pace say's it cruises @20 knots?what do you think about these motors?thanks guys!!

I know they didn't make the 8.2 in 2004. It was discontinued in 2000. Are you sure it's not an 8.1?

states they were up graded in 2004 w/375 hp 8.2 fuel injected. maybe a miss print?ok how about the 8.1 good motors? in this boat?230hrs looks real clean states still the original risers and elbows

Could have been done in 2004 but not with new engines from that year.

Like Rick suggests, the serial numbers will be definitive.

The 8.1's provide reasonable performance. Working on them is a bit different than an older MArk IV big block but nothing an intelligent individual can't figure out.
