Any one know any tricks to remove harmonic balancer bolt? These are not reverse threaded correct? Trying to break down a 2004 6.0L and The bolt is not budging, is it ok to apply heat, or will that damage the crank? Any help is appreciated.. |

Heat won't help since you can't get it where you need it. Lock the flywheel with a C-clamp, then get a breaker bar with a pipe on the end. It's 'normal' threads, by the way, not LH. Jeff |

Not with mine! It's a 90 ft-lbs unit. I'd wreck all kinds of stuff with with a "real" one. Jeff |

"Buzz it off with a 1/2" air gun." Ayuh,...... If the Crankshaft wants to turn,..... Pull a sparkplug,+ push a length of Rope into the cylinder to Lock the motor...... |
