Hi,
I have a 63 26' fairliner with and 327 single crusader power pack. I just replaced the starter and am looking for information on rehooking up the battery cables to the starter. The positive post goes were? I'm unsure, and I think the negative ground battery terminal is attached and grounded to the engine somewhere, I do not know?

Does anyone have any online resouces like an oneline manuals and or your directions would be greatly appreciated.

Next I have to deal with upper end low oil presure at 12-18 psi currently, due to possible worn main bearings but I will leave that to another discussion. The good news is that these Fairliners are designed well for pulling the engines easily.

Thanks for any help.

Ayuh,.....

The Positive Battery Cable attaches to the Large Lug on the starter's Solenoid......

The Negative cable should be attached to the engine block,... Make sure it's Clean....

Thanks Bondo,

I think this 327 crusader power pack has the negative cable attached via the starter mounting bolt. So this should solve that problem. I have been trying to locate a online repair manual with no luck, for this power pack as it looks like I have to possibly pull the engine and replace the main bearings. Does anyone know of any such repair manuals for this 1963 327 crusader (280) power pack with the velvet drive?

Regards,
Mike
