HI, LOOKING FOR SOME ADVICE AS TO BLEED THE FWC SYSTEM ON 2OOO 7.4LTR MPI CRUSADERS 454. EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE THE ENGINE HEATS UP TO 190-195 AND I NOTICE THE OVERFLOW BOTTLE IS FULL TO THE TOP. MY QUESTION IS ONCE THE ENGINE COOLS THE FLUID DOES NOT RETURN TO THE ENGINE LIKE THE OTHER ONE DOES. WONDERING IF I COULD HAVE AN AIR BUBBLE INTERNALLY? WHICH MIGHT BE CAUSING THIS OR A THERMASTAC ACTING UP EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE? HOW DO YOU BLEED THE AIR OUT OF THE SYSTEM DOES ANYONE KNOW I COULD USE SOME ADVICE. ALL,S I FOUND WAS A METAL TUBE COMING OUT OF THE INTAKE BEHIND THE PRESSURE CAP NECK. THE TUBE HAS A SCREW ON CAP LIKE A TIRE STEM WITH A RELIEF VALVE INSIDE IT COULD THIS BE THE BLEEDER ? HELP. THANKS

Replace your pressure with a new RO34006A cap. The old style cap had a problem where, when it got old, it would not release to allow the system to draw coolant back in from the overflow bottle as the engine cooled down. Instead it would allow air in. The next time you warmed the engine, the system expanded and overflowed the already full bottle. (Repeat every time engine is run). The new cap will correct this problem. No bleeding is necessary.

Rick,
Any suggestions as to where to order the RO34006A cap? Is it the same part number for 8.2 Crusaders Manufactured in 98-99?
Thanks...

They may have changed the old PN to the new part but I wouldn't count on it.
