A good set of plug wires is a worth while investment. The best way to go is to get a high performance, street legal, wire set (Accel, MSD, Taylor, ect.) from a speed shop or auto parts store that handles high performance ignition items. |

I used MSD, you will have to cut to lengh and crimp the distributor end. well worth it, you can make them fit perfect. got the 8mm wires |

Timothy, I ordered many engine parts from jegs.com and summitracing.com over the years. Both have a wide array of plug wire choices and competitive pricing. |

I read this somewhere but the recommendation was for Accel 8.8 300+ wires that have a spiral wound stainless steel to provide superior current delivery and suited well for marine use. I found them for HEI ignitions but they run about $80.00 a set. Is that REALLY worth it? |

The problem with automotive wires from your local speed shop is that they are not long enough to accommodate the larger manifolds used on marine applications. Mallory offers marine specific wires which give you the performance and fit you are looking for.http://www.mallorymarine.com/ |

wire kits from speed shop are plenty long, you have to get the unfinished kit that you custom cut the distributor end and crimp the end on. kit comes with the tool. |

I have a 19672 Crusader 327 and have changed from manual tachometer to electronic. I have a temporary cap over the nipple, but need to plug it. Does the fitting that turns the cable screw out? Once it is out, what kind and size threads for the plug. Thank you for your help? |
