Is anyone knows where I can get a pair of Carb. Base Gaskets for my Crusader model 350 (7.4L)I need 2 because of the 7 deg. riser plate. (straight shaft) Just rebuilt with an Echlin Carb. rebuilt Kit. Kind of easy to do.

The Carburator is a Rochester Quadrajet # 17082403. I have the GM Delco Book on it, very interesting 40 pages.

Henry, this is the same carburetor that I have. I noticed that the rebuild kit for it is available at MarineEngine.com. I don't know if they just sell the gasket. I had mine rebuilt by Carburetor Specialist - 5715 N, Commerce Court, Suite 200 Alpharetta, GA 30004 678-393-1501. They supplied the gasket for reinstallation. Perhaps you can get the gasket from them.

Good Luck
Chuck

got the carburator clean and install a new float (copper) in case I get some ethanol in the future. there was an inch of dirt in the bowl, was surprise the engine was still running good except the fuel was dripping on one side under the choke. could see gas slick when idle at the dock coming from the exhaust. Piece of cake to rebuilt a Rochester quadrajet. Will do the other one in the spring. Have a nice winter. Henry G.
