It's just that time of year Ernie....either people are busy putting their toys away (I just finished mine yesterday) or they are already away and have moved on to other things, this board always slows right down about now.

But sometimes Frank is out there lurking so you have to keep an eye out for him

Got out of bed a couple of hours ago, and still quiet.

At least I can go and do some work on my problems.

No I was not trying to be funny, but isn't this forum for OMC? And theres one for mercrusier. I didn't know if I could ask questions about a different brand. I tried to post, but It would not go. The problem I ran into was ,I took the control handle/throttle of to do a little post season maintaince, grease, and now I cant get the button for throttle only to work. If thats the only problem I'll be happy.

Sorry Ernie...a lot of people don't get my weird sense of humor, just thought it was funny when you mentioned control and then shift over to Mercruiser. Can't offer any help as I've never torn into one other than possibly a spring has fallen out??

As for Frank...I think he should take some time this winter and revisit grammar school...

Sorry Frank...couldn't resist, go ahead and take your best shot buddy

I wanted to mention that I have looked around my area and on E-bay and there seems to be no shortage of OMC parts both new and used. I bought a manual for the mercursier and I must say when you look at simular procedures like drive removal,h20 pump changes, omc seems a little easier. Maybe I shouldn't say that I dont want to offend people that are diehard fans of mercruisers. Now that I have both it will be interesting to compare the two. Condition wise, both boats are about in the same shape. Both have a 3.0engine. At this point I'll run both for now. Of course thats if spring ever gets here.Ernie.

Headed for Algonquin park tomorrow and on the fence about taking my inflatable and small motor, my kayak, or just my hiking boots...

I don't want to take a shot. That's what I get for going on this thing after 26 hours without sleep. I sure hope work slowes down a bit.
