I was just nosey I know you had it for sale, the weather here in northern Illinois has been unusually wet and cold Bob so tomorrow is a begining of better weather and I will remove the outdrive to find that piece that fell off into the water passage, I will also do the u-joints, grease the connector and gimbal bearing, Bob what should one feel for when you reach in and check the gimbal bearing, also have a good winter. ron

Hi Ron...haven't yet but have a deal on the table right now, we just haven't quite closed the gap on the $$$ plus the buyer wants me to store it until next spring and that's another $5k if I leave it at my current marina.

Gimbal bearing is all about being smooth and tight (excuse my language), you don't want to feel any grittiness at all and of course no slop. While you're in there clean any old excess grease and then give it some shots with your gun to make sure the grease is actually getting to the bearing.

You have a good winter too Ron!
