Another rookie question. The weather has been great in WA lately, but it is going to be dropped around 30~32F. My boat is in the water, I know that I'm supposed to get it out & winterize it. What should I do? I really like to use the boat for this weekend. It is a fresh water cooled, so antifreeze in the engine. Can I put some antifreeze in both exhaut manifold? Am I simply taking a way too much risk? Thanks as usual. |

"Am I simply taking a way too much risk?" Nope,... Just Drain the raw water side of things... The Temp of the water the boat sits in helps too... |

Ayuh,... You say your system is Closed cooling, with antifreeze... 1/2 of it is Raw water cooled, to cool the antifreeze... Drain the Raw water side... If the manifolds are on the Raw water side,... Drain 'em... The Heat-exchanger has both Raw water,+ antifreeze...Drain the Raw water side... I can't See your system,... You've gotta figure it out... |

Yup I figured it out,,,thanks. I did drain both manifolds, probably will drain the exchanger raw water side tonite. I will be installing some sort of bilge heater if it gets any colder. Thanks much! |
