I have an 87' Bayliner 3.0 OMC w/ a Cobra o-drive. Can I drop in a 4.3 w/o any complications or is it a major swap? They are both GM blocks. Thanks Mike |

nope you will need to change out way to many things and that is if you have room in the engine bay. Plus the stringers may not be in the right position for the mounts. Plus the gearing in the drive has to be changed. Nope your really stuck with the 3.0 |

That's what I was afraid of. I'll just have to build up a 3.0 to get more performance. Thanks much!! Mike |

Unless you can find a donor boat where you can get the engine and drive but you'll probably still have the stringer problem for mounting like the Chief says. |
