How deep does the water need to be for the bucket test on an 800? Does the water need to cover the idle ports as well, or just the water pick up ports? What do I need to fix to make the water flow again. I assume the impeller, could it be more? |

Ok, I assume that means the water pump. Should I even attempt this or have a pro do it? |

hey oilslik, whay you need to do is put the drive in the full bucket up to the intake port. Then prime the pump with the muffs. When it running with the muffs with good flow pull the muffs off and the pump should be primed and flowing. |

So the answer is. the water level needs to be as high as the pump to prime. |

Aslo pulled the raw feed to the Sheerwood raw water pump to verify it was the 800 pump doing the pumping and not the Sheerwood. Results were good. Next project-pull the risers. |
