If anyone has time to kill, and is willing to help a novice at wiring... (I'll try to make the questions specific)

I want to bolt down my new 350 in the driveway, and set it up to run, before putting it in the boat and discovering a problem then. I have three things I want to hook up, but don't have practicale knowledge of. I know, dumb questions.

1: The starter. My starter has a large single bolt on main body (main battery supply positive), and what appears as a solenoid on top with two leads. I want to put in a push button start, which has two terminals. What do i run to the starter solenoid and the starter button?

2: Tachometer. What do I run the leads to? I've not purchesed the guage yet..may just use the one from the boat..but it was always a little squirly.

3: Water temp. ??

4: Oil pressure? I believe there's an oil pressure sending unit on back of engine.

any help is appreciated
-Morgan

Ayuh,.....

1,.... The Battery power is attached to the Top Big Lug,....
The Switch you want to use should be attached to the Top Big Lug,+ the Little lug closest to the Block.....

2,..... The Tach feeds off the (-) lug on the Coil.....

3,..... What about it,.... Stuff a running Hose into it to supply the water....

4,.... There's an Oil Pressure Port at the rear of the Block, right beside the Dist....
And,...
Another 1 just Above the Oil Filter....
