Hi i wonder if anyone out there can help me!
When i put the gear shift in to the forward position i get a rattel sound and then a clunk, it works perfect whilst going in to reverse, i have had it to my marine machanic and first of all he tells me it could be the lower gear unit, and then he tells me that it could be the remote shift cable and that i will need two, one long one from the engine to the shifter and one shorter one from the engine to the sturn. As you probabaly have noticed i do not yet have much knowledge of the boat as i have not had it very long, does this sound right?? and if so where could i get the parts from as i have no manual with the boat and i can not get the part numbers, and i also live in Cyprus and can not get anything for the boat here!}

Being a 91 4.3 it should still have the dog clutch setup rather than the later cone clutch. Go to this site and read it all as it deals with Cobra ahifting issue's as well as replacing the lower shift cable.
