I frequently use my boat and it is supposed to get in the 30s this weekend,is it going to hurt the boat after I get out of the water and transport the boat home? I live in N.C so it does not get cold for too long. |

Paul, time may be a factor in how much heat energy can be removed from an object.
(I.E., the cold weather spell removing ambient heat from your engine/exhaust system until it reaches a point of h2o turning solid and expanding.)
It make take a full night....... or it may take only hours of sub freezing tempts!
Even if just barely frozen, you now must deal with getting icy raw water from these parts.
I would not gamble!
I'd simply learn where all of your raw water low point drains are and practice draining and re-installing them.
You will get good at it, and find that it only takes minutes to drain all of them!
The gain will be Peace of Mind and a good night's sleep! |
