I took off my Volvo DuoProp to lube the shafts. But when I went to put them back on, the rear spline seems to have pulled up. It is now covering the threads I need to put the nut on. This is the larger, outer spline. Does anybody know how to push the outer spline shaft back down? |

It would help ME if we could talk in terms of fwd and aft.... (as in fwd propeller/fwd shaft splines.... aft propeller/aft shaft splines, etc.)? I'm not sure what "seems to have pulled up" nor what "push the outer spline shaft back down" means! Sorry, but I need to think in terms of when installed in a typical DP drive scenario. |

Sorry, it is the fwd prop (larger prop, goes on 1st, larger, outer shaft). The spline shaft has moved towards the open end of the shaft covering the threads I need to put the holding nut on. |
