I have a Volvo Penta 5.0 Gi. The throttle operation seemed to be getting harder and harder to operate (Sticking) and it appears that a cable connector broke on the drive cable. Is this a difficult fix? Also when this happened, the engine was running and the ignition switch became unoperable, couldn't shut the motor off. Had to choke the carb to shut down the engine. Could this have something to do with the switch being bad or is it something to do with the throttle linkage. I'm pretty good at fixing the things, but it seems like things are breaking faster than I can keep up with.
