Hi All, I am thinking of buying a secondhand head for my AQ145a. Can anybody please tell me if there is a part number stamped on it and what it would be to distinguish it from an auto head. Also how can Identify that it is a marine camshaft? Many Thanks Nick |

Nicholas, the AQ145A is a B23 block that was manufactured only for a short period of time (sometime between 1982 and 1984) and the head (to the best of my knowledge) is not interchangeable with other models. There should not be a difference between "auto" and "marine" heads. The part number for the head is 1276371 (old) and 857532 (new). The cam on the AQ145A is a K cam. The letter should be stamped at the end of the camshaft (flywheel side if I recall correctly). Hope this helps. |

El, once again you have come through with the information. I don't know what this forum would do without you and the other senior members giving your time so generously. Very much appreciated and thank you one once. Regards Nick |

You are welcome, Nicholas. Glad to be of help. By the way, the K camshaft should be Volvo part 1336775 (new number), or 1306167 (old number). Both parts correspond to the same item. |
