The pins holding the rams on the transom side are big time stuck Not lots or room to work on them even after we removed the engine. Any suggestions before we remove the transom shield and get really serious with them?

Tom, are you not supposed to use a grease gun to remove them? In any case, if they are badly stuck, you may want to remember Ricardo's motto: "heat (in moderation) is your friend". |

Apparently this one is of the kind that you screw a bolt into the end of the pin then wind a nut downt the bolt's outside thread to lever the pin out. Tried heat already and it's still stuck. We'll use a slip hammer if we have to remove the transom shield. Stay tuned..... |
