El im beggining to wonder if im ever gonna work all these noises out. But anyway now when i trim the foot all the way up it is making a pretty loud rattle noise but when i let it all the way down it doestn do it.. Is that gonna be the u-joints? |

Justin, does your outdrive have hydraulic power trim or just electric power tilt? With the former, there is only a certain range you can operate the engine, and with the latter you should never operate the engine unless the outdrive is completely down (except for "beaching" and at very low power, where you can trim the outdrive a bit). In either case, if the outdrive is lifted and you start the engine, you will not only hear a hell of a noise, but will also destroy the u-joints in a short time. As a rule, only run the engine when the outdrive is completely lowered in case of power tilt; and in case of power trim, only within the range allowed for trimming.
