Well, I'm at the Seloc manual step 6 on page 4-14. I am told to remove the 'idle jet from the emulsion tube'. The top of the jet is slotted so I assume it is screwed into the emulsion tube. So, I start to back out the jet but after a couple of turns I note that the emulsion tube is turning in it's housing. This leads me to believe that the jet's threads are seized inside the emulsion tube?
Two thoughts come to mind; 1. forget taking the jet out of the emulsion tube and, 2. put a little heat to the emulsion tube at the jet's threads (near the top?)gingerly hold the tube with vise grips, and try to back the jet out. Now the scary part; how much, if any, damage did I do in spinning the emulsion tube in its housing? Thanks! Tom

I believe the tube just pulls out (not the jet) and slides back in. I had the same problem rebuilding mine and just slid them out.

Greetings, Tom.

I don't think you want to put any heat on carb parts, but you may want to give a try to the vise-grip thing.

I believe the emulsion tube is pressed-in, so if you stop turning it you'll likely be OK.

I agree about the heat Eduardo , could cause a bit of a bang.
I think David is bang on. I put a screwdriver under the lip of the 'jet' and prised up and the whole emulsion tube popped out. Either I have a different carb or the Seloc manual is out to lunch.
Anyway, the emulsion tube complete with idle jet is now sitting on the table. I wonder what other surprises lie in wait? Tom
