Hi all,
Considering extended (5 yr @ 1200 bucks) warranty purchase along with new boat. Glastron with a Volvo 4.3 GL and SX-A outdrive. Any feedback appreciated.

As with any warranty I think you need to consider a few things: what EXACTLY is covered, how reputable is the service shop, what is your time / aggrevation worth and how much do you plan on using the item.
$240 a year, for five years sounds very reasonable to me if the warranty is SOLID and covers parts and labor. Heck, even if it only covers parts it still sounds fair. Boating is expensive. Boats breakdown. Parts can be expensive. Labor charges can induce the spins.
I've never owned a new boat, but the cost of this warranty seems worth the piece of mind on an expensive investment. |
