1967 120hp MR. Serial number 2072674.
Working on the upper gear house on the out drive. We are cleaning up the housing and decided to remove the decals since replacements are on the way.
Striped off the decal on the starboard side and found the SN stamped into the case. An unexpected find was the capitol letter "B" stamped in front of the SN. Does anyone know what the letter B stands for if anything?
Thanks,
TxGalz Dah

I myself dont know what the B may stand for but ALL outdrives have the serial number STAMPED into them exactly where you found yours. Most never see them as they are heavily painted over from the factory.

Thank you for the reply. Since this is an antique barge and I am trying to document the rebuild, I will give Stillwell a call. Maybe they have some history hidden out there. Usually depends on who you talk with.
