Can't find a soft plug for my upper half of my outdrive............. alfa one ............. keep getting discontinued part from everyone.... |

called a "welsh plug" no need to remove that .it covers a access hole to the water jacket in the upper |

I didn't remove it, somebody did that for me along with a knife through my bellows..
I tried a rubber universal plug and it sealed the hole fine....BUT after 6 hours of pulling my outdrive on and off.... I figured out that why I couldn't get it to go into foward gear...The space the rubber took up was for my shifting arm...so when I pushed the outdrive on the last half inch it would put it in neutral and bottom out against rubber.. |

It also seals the shift shaft cavity. plan on replacing the shift cable too. I`ll see if
i have a junk unit that i could pop one out |
