I have a tohatsu m70a2 it gets water in the lower unit not much but a little cream colored grease in there does this mean it needs a prop shaft seal and are the parts and requiered gaskets avilible I no they dont make parts for this motor but I was told that the m70a lower unit gasket kit and shaft seal would work is this true also I have been told if I cant get the needed parts that if I just change the oil every 3 or 4 times I use the boat it will last me a long time without problems this seems to make sense to me but is this true also is there an additive that would seal the leak or at least help slow it down thank you in advance for your response |

The A2 and A have the same lower unit so yes, the parts will interchange. I beleive in repairing rather than taking a chance, but people get away with it...If they are lucky. |
