Hi i Have a tohatsu 9,9 2 stroke manual start and id like to light a bulb with and maybey charge a battry. Wath do I need to do this. from the motor ther are 3 wires coming out, one black 1 white and 1yellow. Do i need a rectifier to charge a battry?

Yes, you would need a rectifier to charge the battery. The correct one would be determined by the model number of the engine.

There should only be a yellow and a white lead coming out from underneath the flywheel.

There are 3 leads coming out from underneath the flywheell. white and yellow and black. The model number of my tohatsu is M9.9D2

That model does not have a pulsar coil so its wired a little differently. You would still only use the white and yellow leads. The black lead is used for connection to an engine wring harness when set up for remote control operation.
