Older Model 2strk 25hp

Author Message   Paul Turchick New member Username: ukrmaf Post Number: 1 Registered: 10-2009 Posted on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 - 05:46 am:    I'm looking at buying an older tohatsu 25hp motor i dont know the year but the engine cover is black and there is a red badge on the front with a 25 in it. The seller doesnt know much about the motor and said it runs great, and goes in reverse great but when you put it in forward nothing happend, he is selling it with an extra prop and tank for $200, just wondering what your guys's thoughts are as to what the problem might be or what i could check for and if that's a decent price or am i looking at something i wont be able to get parts for and waisting my time.   Tohatsu Guru Senior Member Username: tohatsu_guru Post Number: 1020 Registered: 06-2007 Posted on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 - 08:36 pm:    If it's older than a 92 most of the ignition parts are obsolete.
