My Tohatshu 6 hp 4 cyclinder is a real bear to start in colder weather. The past two times I've used it, it's probably taken me 15 minutes to get the thing started, with numerous yanks on the starter cord and five minute pauses in between attempts. Once it starts, it runs fine but getting it to turn over that first time is a major pain. I always pump the fuel line bulb until it's hard and pull the choke all the way out. In warm weather it starts pretty easily but not that fall is here it's being real stubborn. Any tips for cold weather starts? |

There really isn't much of a difference between a winter or summer start. You could go to a 10w40 instead of 10w30 oil. Other than that...Fresh gas, clean spark plug and luck. |
