Proped the engine to 5700rpms. Sometimes if I take a hard right hand turn at wot the engine will
go to 6100rpms with a speed pick up of 3-4 mph. It
will hold the 6100 and if I slow down it will go back to 6100. Once I shut down I may not see the 6100 rpms for several trips. Sometimes if the boat
is jarred by rough water the engine will go to 6100. The engine runs smooth. I bought the engine new and I had owned it for over a year before I experienced this noticeable improvement. What could be the cause of this flucuation? Thanks

Stopper Coil Plate was added to this engine to
prevent timming advanceing, cost $2.50. It was
nice to figure this out because dealer could not
figure this out. Thanks for your advice.
