Hi Everyone,
I purchased a MFS9.8A3S outboard a couple of months ago, and now is my first attempt at winterizing the engine. I was looking online for parts, and the latest manual I can find is for a 2006 MFS9.8A engine. Will the parts be the same for my 9.8 engine?
Also, the manual says to replace the impeller (cooling system) every year. If my impeller looks good, can I get away with using the same impeller next year?

You have an A3 model so you would use the A3 model parts book. The A and A2 model books do not apply to your model.
Never change just the impeller. Always put a complete water pump kit in....And you only need to do that if the pee stream coming out of the motor is noticeably weaker than normal. That usually means every two to five years. |
