I was on the lake today and the engine suddenly would not go over 3000 RPMs. I took the boat home installed a new fuel filter. It seems to run good now. I can rev up to 4500 rpms no problem. I have had a idling problem since I bought the boat. It seems to idle for a short time them spit and cut off. any suggestions? Thanks |

That could be electrical or fuel system related. You are going to have to pull out a service manual and start with the troubleshooting procedures. |

I spoke to a mechanic and he said replace the plugs. The carb style 90 is bad for fouling plugs if idled for an extended time. I replaced the plugs and she runs great.....FYI |

You would be surprised how often a clean set of plugs solves problems... |
