I have a 2 stroke Nissan 5hp with a built in gas tank. The engine has not been run for 2 years and while it is nearly empty of fuel some still exists in the lines. I anticipate that the fuel has separated and gunked up everything. What are the right steps to take to clean out the bad fuel and any deposits that remain? Once clean should I try to start it or are their other steps I should take first?
I would appreciate it if you can point me in the right direction.

Dump the old fuel, clean what you can clean and then try to start the engine. A service manual will point you towards the individual procedures. |

yes, as said above except before trying to start her drain fuel lines and clean them out first. then drain the carbs if any gas is still in them clean the jets before starting .because two year old gas going to the carbs is really going to gum them up pretty bad . |
