It is an 18H.P. 4-stroke Nissan. I have all the parts. I took off the prop and the two bolts behind the prop. The part behind the prop (looks like some type of a hub) does not come off. I have not tried to really pull on it. It souds like there is linkage or something holding it on. Do I have to take the bolts that hold the lower unit off. And if so, I imagine that I have to drain the gear oil first. Then I need to find the oil filter. Does anyone know where that is? |

I think you need a manual to prevent from making expensive mistakes.You do not need to remove the prop for impeller work.You do not need to drain oil for impeller work. You need to remove the lower unit as the waterpump sits on top of it. |
