My 17 year old son has a 13' gheenoe with a 5hp Nissan 2 stoke which we haven't been able to get to start and run with any consistancy. The carb has been cleaned by a good marine repair man, but the motor consistantly floods. We eventually, (with a lot of effort) get it running (at home) and all will seem right, but the next time we take it out a couple of weeks later, the same problem comes up. Am I holding my tounge the wrong way? Is there any secret to getting these motors to start and run consitantly? |

You have to determine what the problem really is and then fix it. I would suggest you take the engine in to an authorized dealer in your area and let them determine the problem and do the repair. |
